How to Use the Sun Ancon Chi Machine Instructions
Position the Sun Ancon Chi Machine on a firm surface with the handle facing away from you.
Drink a 4-6 ounce glass of room temperature water before using the Chi Machine. Making sure you are drinking clean water is essential for your health, learn more about "The Different Types of Water Filtration".
Stretch out your lower back first, then lay down on the floor.
Put on a foot on each side of the Chi Machine, aligning the bottom of your foot with the base of the chi machine.
Center your body with the arrow on the machine, lie down and place your feet in the cradle so that your ankles are 1-2 inches over the edge of the cradle (the bottom of your calf, just above the ankle bone, should be resting on the cradle). You may want to wear heavy socks if you have sensitive ankles and make sure to put the cradle cover on the chi machine.
Make sure you are comfortable lying there. If you have a tendency to lower back or knee pain, you may want to put a pillow under your knees for extra support until you are use to the movement of the chi machine.
Turn the timer switch on to activate the machine - first time users should NOT do more than 5 minutes, if in poor health no more than 2 minutes. Once you are used to the machine and its movement, you can increase your time in 5-minute increments. Remember, The chi machine creates movement and using it is similar to beginning an exercise program so do not increase 5 minutes each time you use it in the beginning. Over using the chi machine is similar to over exercising and you may become sore. Consistency is just as important if not more important than how long you use it. You can also use it 2-3 times per day.
Your body will feel a full body movement, notice if you feel movement through both knees, both hips, and both shoulders. If you do not feel movement on both sides, you may need to realign yourself with the arrow. Please try to relax and do not fight the movement, allow your body to move with the swing of the machine.
Breathe deeply and evenly during the movement. Breathe in to the count of 7, hold to the count of 4, and exhale from your abdomen to the count of 8. The time doesn't matter as much as the rhythm of your breathing.
When the machine stops, remain lying on the floor for 2-3 minutes before getting up. Enjoy the "Chi Rush"! This is where your body benefits from the internal organ massage.
Remember to stretch out your spine and hips, then roll to one side and get up off the floor.
Drink a 4-6 ounce glass of water. The Chi Machine is a great tool for detoxification, just like a massage.

Lower Back Pain or Knee Concerns
For people with low back or knee concerns - try putting a pillow underneath your knees until your body adjusts to the movement of the Chi Machine. Remember, start out slow, this is a form of exercise, more is not necessarily better.
Caution: After use some reactions may occur. Some people may feel tired or sore in parts of their body after using the Chi Machine. Some dizziness may also occur for first time users. This is Healthy! Oxygen is being restored to your body's cells that may not have received proper amounts before. The initial dizziness will disappear with regular use and increased circulation. Use for shorter periods of time and then gradually increase time as tolerated. People with motion sickness or other serious medical problems should start with 30 seconds to 1 minute initially. You may use it several times daily. Always check with a physician before use with the Chi Machine if health issues are a concern.

It is not recommended to use within 30 minutes of eating, if extreme pain occurs during use, investigate the cause and correct the problem before reusing use of the machine. If you have a medical condition and have a question, you should consult with your physician before using.
