Healthy Benefits of Cabbage and Beets
Cabbage
Cabbage is one of the best foods to eat for gut health. It contains soluble and insoluble fiber, which promotes digestion and acts as a prebiotic, feeding the beneficial bacteria. You can also ferment cabbage. It contains sulforaphane and vitamin C.
Beets
Beets support heart health and exercise performance because their nitrates are converted to nitric oxide in the body. They are also rich in antioxidants and fiber, making them a wonderful addition to an anti-inflammatory diet.
Turmeric
Turmeric is a superpower. It contains curcumin, which is a huge anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It helps reduce inflammation, joint pain, oxidative stress, boosts brain health, heart health, and helps maintain a healthy blood sugar level.
I love this recipe because of its many flavors, and I just love cabbage!
Enjoy! I do have several other recipes to try as well.
